About Us

BUILT ON THE belief THAT LASTING CHANGE HAPPENS WHEN WE UNDERSTAND behavior AND SUPPORT THE biology BEHIND IT

We’re creating a community of parents and professionals who are ready to move beyond quick fixes and dig deeper. A community that understands how our physical and emotional state shapes the way we show up every day. One that values nourishment, rest, nervous system care, and meaningful connection as the true foundation for lasting change. Here, every voice matters, and together, we believe in creating real impact—one supported family at a time.

OUR philosophy

At Quiet Moments Wellness, we provide a root-cause approach to address these physiological imbalances while also offering practical, compassionate strategies to shift behaviors without relying on rigid rules, rewards, or punishments. Through expert-led courses, guides, and practical resources, we help parents understand what’s really going on so that deep, lasting change is possible for everyone.

Tamara Jurkin owner of Quiet Moments Wellness, with a background in sleep consulting, holistic nutrition, and a degree in psychology, she brings a unique blend of expertise to her practice.
Tamara came to understand sleep as a reflection of overall wellness, impacted by everything from nutrition and connection to digestive health, nervous system regulation, and sensory needs.

From depleted mom to trusted mentor.

Tamara is the founder of Quiet Moments Wellness and a passionate advocate for whole-family well-being. She believes that thriving families begin with strong, healthy foundations for both children and the adults who care for them. With over 20 years of experience supporting parents and children, Tamara brings a unique blend of expertise as a holistic nutritionist, certified sleep consultant, and trained early childhood educator. She also holds a specialized honors degree in psychology.

Tamara’s journey into this work began after the birth of her first child, when she left her corporate career to become a sleep consultant. She launched Quiet Moments Sleep Consulting to support families seeking non-behavioral approaches to sleep. As her work evolved, she began leading workshops, developing courses, and mentoring professionals in the wellness and parenting space.

Through years of experience, one truth became increasingly clear: sleep struggles—at any age—are rarely just about sleep. Again and again, Tamara saw how deeply connected parents and children are, constantly influencing each other’s nervous systems. She realized that telling parents to “stay calm” wasn’t enough. To show up with calm and presence, parents need to feel supported in their bodies—physically, mentally, and emotionally.

Tamara came to understand sleep as a reflection of overall wellness, impacted by everything from nutrition and connection to digestive health, nervous system regulation, and sensory needs. This insight inspired her to expand her work and launch Quiet Moments Wellness. A resource hub designed to support not only parenting strategies, but also the well-being of the parent behind the role.

Her integrative approach now weaves together holistic nutrition, emotional health, sleep science, and practical lifestyle support for children and their caregivers. Because when parents are nourished from the inside out, families don’t just cope, they flourish.
